Built 1891-1892. Located 18 Railway Terrace, cnr Railway Terrace and Elizabeth Street, Riverstone.

One of only a few remaining early public buildings in Blacktown and is an externally intact Federation Queen Anne building.

Designed by W L Vernon, Government Architect, and built by Mr Reid of Sydney. The building is constructed of face brick walls with stone trim and a tiled hipped roof. Excellent example of Federation verandah featuring turned timber posts and brick and stone balustrade. The building was converted from its original purpose as a lockup keepers residence to a police station in 1979 and remodelled in 1981. It still serves as a Police Station although the cells at the rear have been covered in and are no longer in use. The first resident Policeman appointed was Mr E Grace.
